Mary McPhillips has dedicated her career to education and organisational leadership. She began as a Mathematics teacher before joining All Hallows College in 1990, attracted by its mission to provide accessible education. Over more than 25 years, she combined teaching and programme facilitation with senior management responsibilities, including leading the College’s Operations Unit.
As Executive Vice President, Mary oversaw the wind-down of All Hallows College in 2016 and played a central role in negotiating the transfer of the historic campus to Dublin City University. Her stewardship of this process, which safeguarded Trustee priorities, enabled students to complete their studies, supported staff through a fair redundancy process, and protected the legacy of a 174-year-old institution, has been described as an example of best practice.
Mary is the CEO of the Daughters of Charity Community Service in Dublin city centre. She joined the Board of Speedpak CLG because of its mission and values, bringing her extensive leadership experience and commitment to social impact. She is the Chair of the Governance & Programme Sub-Committee.
