Rónán Mac Muiris is Company Secretary and Chair of the Finance, Audit , Risk and Remuneration Sub-Committee (FARRC). A Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in senior finance roles in Ireland, the UK and internationally. Until April 2022, he worked in the Group Finance function of Dole plc (formerly Total Produce plc), one of the world’s largest fresh produce companies, listed on the New York Stock Exchange with annual sales in excess of $6 billion. Over an 18-year career abroad, he held senior positions in Central America, the USA and Italy, bringing strong expertise in financial governance, reporting and international operations.
Rónán has a long-standing commitment to community and voluntary leadership serving in governance roles with Dún Laoghaire Educate Together National School and Dublin Frontrunners AC, an Athletics Ireland member club that fundraises for LGBTQ+ charities through its annual Pride Run in the Phoenix Park. An active runner himself, he competes regularly in road races from 5k to half marathon.
Originally from Dublin, Rónán lives in Ringsend in a converted former Coastguard station with his husband.
