A beautiful August sky heralded the arrival of Speedpak Group’s latest addition, the Yale ERP 13VC forklift.

In a year that has seen a substantial increase in client business, the new forklift will greatly increase the efficiency with which we can move goods in and out of the plant.

Meanwhile, the growing number of staff holding forklift licences (attained through training offered on Speedpak Group’s Workplace Training Programme) will now have further opportunities to develop their driving experience.

At Speedpak, we offer all our trainees a combination of work and training experience. This is a proven model where trainees can gain qualifications through work experience and formal training, improving their employability and creating a path to employment.

As well as logistics-specific training, participants also receive one-to-one coaching, job preparation support and external work placements. This Enhanced Skills Programme supported by the JPMorgan Chase Foundation is tailored to give individuals the skills they need to gain employment in the logistics and manufacturing.

Speedpak is very grateful to  the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government and to POBAL for grant aiding this investment in social enterprise through the Dormant Accounts Fund.
