Our Traineeship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Customer Service Logistics is now up and running following a very successful local recruitment campaign.

40 applicants were invited for interview, in a joint process with Coláiste Dhúlaigh. Of those, 15 were chosen for the programme, which commenced on Monday 9th July.

In advance of the Traineeship, key Speedpak staff took part in a valuable one-day Mentor Training Programme with SOLAS, during which they got to engage with our industry partner representatives, who will be providing work experience placements for the trainees later in the year. This event also provided us with the opportunity to present an overview of Speedpak’s role in preparing trainees for their eventual placements.

The first week of training took place in Coláiste Dhúlaigh, with input and presentations from Speedpak CEO John Murphy and Change & Development Manager Edel Moloney. After that, from Monday 16th July, the training moved to Speedpak’s newly-refurbished Learning Centre.

We were honoured to have been visited by the Executive Director of SOLAS, Mary-Liz Trant, who expressed great support for our collaborative traineeship model.
